Lizzie had been so sad when I left her to take Piper back to school that I went back to Mandy‘s house and got her and brought her home to play with Zoey. It doesn’t sound like that much, but I drove completely back-and-forth across Omaha twice this morning and it’s a big city!
I just now opened my advent stocking and I had some yummy candy in it. I already ate the pink and blue pieces!
Last time we were on Maui we bought this ornament in Lahaina. There was a craft fair going on under the Banyan tree in front of the City Hall. For those of you that have never been to Maui, this banyan tree is very famous. It spans an entire city block with the limbs being propped up by posts. It’s a beautiful tree. The ornament was made by school children as a fundraiser.
Sorry for the mess on my side table. This is where all of the knitting happens. 😍 I have one adult pair of mittens made and a hat almost finished for the Mission.
I’m also getting ready to turn the heel on the last pair of Christmas socks. This is the first sock of the pair, so I do have a way to go, but they’re for mom so there isn’t a huge hurry. It’s just a plain vanilla sock which she prefers. The yarn is Viking Mini Raggen and the color is number 563. It is 75% super wash wool and 25% nylon.
Hoping your December is going well and wishing for you all a wonderful afternoon filled with joy.
Blessings,
Betsy
I love seeing what you get in your little stocking. I've been craving peppermint all day. I am going to have to get some candy canes soon.
ReplyDeleteA busy day indeed! Lizzie is going to have to learn to entertain herself or you will have problems down the road. It probably doesn't help that the pups are both so cute!
ReplyDeleteWOW PARECE QUE HAS TENIDO UN DIA AGITADO, ASI ES LA VIDA. LOS MUÑECOS SON TAN ADORABLES, ME GUSTAN SON MUY DECORATIVOS, MUY BUENA COMBINACION DEL ROJO Y BLANCO, SE VEN MUY CALENTITOS. BENDICIONES.
ReplyDeleteWOW IT LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE HAD A HECTIC DAY, THAT'S LIFE. THE DOLLS ARE SO ADORABLE, I LIKE THEM, THEY ARE VERY DECORATIVE, VERY GOOD COMBINATION OF RED AND WHITE, THEY LOOK VERY WARM. I AM ALSO STILL KNITTING, I ALREADY MADE 6 PAIRS OF FINGERLESS MITTENS, COMBINING 2 COLORS AND THEY ARE VERY WARM, THEY WILL BE FOR OUR NEXT WINTER, I WILL GIVE THEM AS A GIFT AT THE NEW YEAR'S PARTY WITH ALL MY EXTENDED FAMILY, NOW WE ARE ALMOST ENTERING THE SUMMER, I STILL LOVE KNITTING EVEN IF IT IS HOT, EMBROIDERING IS ALSO MY HOBBY, IT DISCONNECTS ME A LITTLE BIT FROM THIS GODLESS WORLD. BLESSINGS.
DeleteThat is a lot of driving! Those puppies are so spoiled. And isn't it fun!!
ReplyDeleteYears ago, I wandered around Lahaina and do remember the banyan tree. The snowman is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWow! That tree sounds amazing! I'm glad you brought little Lizzie to your house and let her be with Chloe. Poor, little thing. I am sure that cheered her right up!
ReplyDeleteYou did have a busy morning. You have such a big kind heart. You really do. Hope Piper doesn't feel bad after the shot. I had Tylenol on hand too.
ReplyDeleteThe banyan tree sounds gorgeous. And your knitting is so nice. I like the colors in the socks you are making. That's a lot of driving Betsy!!!
ReplyDeleteDoing all that driving must have tired you out. It sure was sweet of you to go get Lizzie and bring her over to play with Chloe. You have a kind heart.
