I found new places to donate my charity knitting to and so far, we are all healthy. I have my wonderful husband of almost 44 years with me 24 hours a day now and I’m loving it. Since he’s been working from home, we have been enjoying each other‘s company so much. I think retirement will be fun!
So far it’s still the four people in Brad‘s family who have tested positive for Covid from Christmas Eve. His parents and none of the three of them have gotten sick. They are quarantining though and staying away from everyone. Mom seems to be doing just fine, although she did get tested yesterday. I don’t think we have anything to worry about there.
And I took my shower in our new bathroom this morning! We wanted to make sure everything worked and there were no leaks. I have some photos for you.

Dear Queen, I love those new closet doors in your bathroom with the mirrors on the top half. Your home is looking good and really sparkling. Be well and Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing! I just love it. First, so new and so clean. And second - it is just beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I'd rather focus on the good. Like you, we've had a fair amount of it this year. The ongoing pandemic is mostly just background noise. Life goes on and we go with it.
ReplyDeleteYour renos are looking great!!!
Your bathroom looks great! Nice that it is finished. I, too, prefer to focus on the good/positive. I don't ignore the bad/negative...but I don't let it control or overwhelm me. Hope everyone stays healthy Betsy!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteYour new bathroom looks lovely! I'll bet you are so glad to have that project finished. I am trying to count our 2021 blessings as well. It serves no purpose to dwell on unpleasant things that we have no control over. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to use the results of a remodel? Your laundry room looks a bit like ours only much, much newer!
ReplyDeleteBetsy I adore the f1oor! and you
ReplyDeleteI had to change my site . Hopefu11y this is it: https://knittinggenes.blogspot.com
Your bathroom is fabulous! When we did our bathroom a few years ago it freaked me out and I couldn't use it for ages. It was so clean and shiny and I wanted it to stay that way forever. It looks well worn in right now because it's been the makeshift kitchen for ages.
ReplyDeleteNice new bathroom. Enjoy!! I just fell asleep on recliner after work today. Megan woke me up. She's making dinner and I'll be up soon. Busy work at Panera this week which is good. Good over bad is always good. We've made it through another year and God will continue to be with us in our hearts and minds. ....Becky
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bathroom!! So glad for you that it is done!
ReplyDeleteBetsy I love your blog. You are such a sweet kind sincere person. I saw a comment you left on Sam's blog about chipped beef we have been substituting Carl Buddigs lunch meat with success, just a suggestion that you might want to look in to.
ReplyDeletewow .....looks great!
ReplyDeleteNew Year with a new bathroom! It looks smashing and I am sure you are pleased with it. Everything so shiny and new :-). I admit that I do try to focus on the positive side of things but it isn't easy at times and the alarming news reports do not help. The government is talking about delaying the children's return to school again...sigh! Keep well and a very happy new year dear blog friend. Amanda x
ReplyDeleteOh, your new bathroom is just gorgeous! So, so pretty! I know you are so happy this is behind you.
ReplyDeleteWow--so beautiful to see the changes and the good jobs done!
