December 3

More progress was made by the contractor yesterday but I don’t have any pictures. The electrician was here for several hours and put in new bath fans in each bathroom. He also put in another light in the main bathroom and replaced and added a few electrical outlets. He also put in a separate switch for the lights and the fan in our bedroom. That will be very, very nice. Today, sometime, the person who will be climbing up into our tiny attic access should be here to vent the new fans out of the roof.

My advent gift today was candy! I love it. The angel snowman is another of the group that I bought on Facebook marketplace last week. Isn’t it sweet? I love the Christmas tree and the head garland.

Miss Piper took Uncle Alex and Aunt Tara to the cemetery on Saturday afternoon. She knows where everyone is buried so she was able to take them right to the graves. It was starting to get a little chilly and her coat was in the car so she wore one of my sweaters! I think it’s a little big on her but she can still make it look cute. The wind was blowing like crazy as you can probably tell by her hair.

This is all so exhausting for a puppy. She’s this is where she’s curled up on my lap right now. I’m working on knitting a sock and the sun is shining on me and she loves that.
Dennis and I both got our second shingles shot Wednesday evening. I was down all day yesterday and last night. I feel better this morning, but I think it’s only because I took two Advil before I got out of bed. I hope I stay feeling well once they wear off. But, I think we’re done acting like pin cushions for the year.  6 vaccinations sine March is plenty.
Blessings,
Betsy

  3. I like this cute snowman!! I've liked all the ones you've shown so far.
I hope you feel better soon. It's never fun to feel unwell and at this time of the year there's a lot to do.

  5. I love your snow people and your tree. Congrats to Piper on her math accomplishment. I have s degree in computer science and a minor in math and business so I love math! the picture of Piper and her dog is so cute! Your little Zoey is precious. Oh, how I wish I could have another dog. Your bathroom looks really nice so far. It was wonderful that Alex and Tara came home for Thanksgiving too. I bet you were tired after all that company but so nice that they all came home.

  6. Yummy advent candy! I am reading an advent book written by Ann Voskamp. i need to pull out the ornaments that came with it and put them up. I forgot to do it a couple years ago. I wish I still had our birch tree as I used branches from it to hang the ornments on it in our dining room. I hope you feel better today and beyond. Shots do that to me as times as well. Pneumonia shot made my blood pressure high for a few hours last year. Take care my friend!

  7. What a cute snowman for today! We had our whole house rewired two years ago. Expensive and not much to show for it - except the priceless peace of mind. The electrician found a big mistake when our house was built in the 70's (prior to our ownership) that left live, loose wires above the ceiling in our bedroom! It pays to do things right, that's for sure. And correctly installed exhaust fans are important. That Piper sure is a joy in your life!
