I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday. We just got home from church and had a delicious lunch of sandwiches. I think we actually get to have a relaxing afternoon of Christmas movies and knitting.
It’s supposed to be a lot colder this week. We have had an absolutely gorgeous fall so far. I’m still wearing my flip flops and sundresses. Sometimes I wear a sweater but most of the time I don’t. I have sure been enjoying this.
Here is my advent gift today. A cute little gold Christmas tree and two pieces of candy. The snowman is one that I got in my Facebook batch. He is about 4 inches tall. Isn’t he cute? I like his smile a lot.
Zoey wanted to help me show you another of the pillows that I bought for Christmas.
In 2003 we had a houseful of Japanese students for Christmas. They all signed this ornament for us. I miss the days since we used to always have college kids from all over the world staying with us. Sometimes we would have 10-15 kids here when the dorms closed for the holidays and they had nowhere to go.
Here are the signatures on the back.
Wishing you all a blessed Sunday and relaxing start to your week at this busy time of year.
Blessings an love,

HI BETSY: HOY AMANECIO LLOVIENDO, UNA LIGERA LLUVIA Y AHORA SALIO ALGO DE SOL Y EL CLIMA ESTA UN POCO CALUROSO, ESTAMOS A POCOS DIAS DE INICIAR EL VERANO Y HEMOS TENIDO ALGUNOS DIAS MUY CALIENTES, GRACIAS A DIOS QUE FUERON POCOS, ALGO COMO UN VERANO ANTICIPADO, NO ME GUSTA EL CALOR, ADORO EL INVIERNO. DeleteIt is sunny…fabulous blue sky but there is an icy cold strong wind which means that it must be snowing up in the mountains. It is strange to be wearing winter gear when there is a brilliant blue sky but it is really quite cold out. Your Christmas tree is looking splendid! I did notice that shell angel and was wondering about it . It is perfectly lovely that your students all signed it for you. Every year when I put up my tree there is like you always an item that makes me pause for awhile as it brings back fond memories from the past. We will have no tree this year but that I will comment about in another post nearer to Christmas. Now there’s a cushion I like! I am rather taken with gnomes and Christmas is a time to have an abundance of them dotted about. Where do you get such adorable snowmen from? I do like your collection 👏👏👏. Keep well. Amanda x
ReplyDeleteYour little signed ornament is a treasure!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty ornaments and the signatures make that one priceless!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful memories you have! I miss the days of having a house full of the kid's friends for the holidays. We had a house full one New Year's Eve when none of them had any place to go and they all ended up here for the night. Best New Year's ever.
ReplyDeleteThe signatures on your angel are just priceless. What wonderful memories. It has been damp and chilly here. I think we got up to the 40's today. Tonight we could have winds of up to 50 miles an hour! But I heard the temperatures may go up a little bit.
ReplyDeleteCute snowman! Boy did we get snow! What a cute angel ornament!
ReplyDeleteMy DIL collects gnomes... she would love that pillow! How lucky you were to have a houseful of young people for the holidays. I'm sure they appreciated your hospitality. What a precious gift the ornament was. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThe seashell ornament was lovely before. then your young friends signed it and transformed it into a priceless treasure!!
