Some candy and a little bottle of hand sanitizer. The one in my car is almost empty so this was a perfect gift!
Isn’t this the perfect picture of the year we have had with this virus? Chocolate and hand sanitizer!
I like to light these three candles in the evening. I used to use the little tea light candles in the two small candleholders, but I found two battery operated tea lights that are supposed to last 240 hours at the end of the season last year. I just opened them a couple of weeks ago and I’m hoping they will last through the Christmas season. One holder was given to me a few years ago by Teresa at “Teresa Kasner” over on my side bar. The other was one I found. The lantern in the middle was a gift from our friend Nita. She was getting ready to give it to the thrift store and she thought I might like it. It also has a battery powered candle in it. I really enjoy looking at these three candles at night.
This is the blanket I mentioned in my post last night. It is the crochet along that is being done by Jane at the YouTube channel “Scraptastic Yarns Podcast”. You can click on the magnifying glass on YouTube and type in the channel name find her videos. She has been posting videos 2-3 times a day so far during vlogmas. Every day she gives us a new stitch and demonstrates it at the end of one of her videos. Then you do five rows of that stitch in any color yarn you want to. It’s a way to use up little amounts of yarn. Of course you can choose to keep your blanket if you would like, but Jane is donating hers to charity and so am I. So far we have done the half double crochet, seed stitch, and double crochet.
I began knitting the sweater that is to be a Christmas gift FOUR different times! It’s not hard. But it just didn’t look like it was going to turn out the way I wanted it to, so I kept changing things a little. I have knit the entire back twice if you add up all of the starts! Finally I called the recipient and asked about the yarn. It was a no go. I’m going to have to get a different type of yarn. The upside is, it means Dennis will get a new sweater out of this Knit Picks yarn. He loves the two sweaters I have knit him out of 100% wool because they are so warm. So far he has a tan sweater and a navy blue sweater from the same pattern. Now he will have an identical gray one, because that’s what he has requested. He really likes the way they fit so he sees no reason to change the pattern.
I hope you all had a great day today and I’m hoping your Friday is a blessed one. Stay safe and well.
Blessings and love,
