Testing, One, Two, Three. Testing!

So here I am sitting in the cafeteria the hospital next-door to the lab where my testing is being done. They gave me a shot of radiation and now I’m waiting two hours for it to circulate through my body and then I go back for the scans.  I had some scrambled eggs hashbrowns and orange juice for breakfast here. Surprisingly good.
The people that work here are really very, very friendly. I brought my knitting and I’ve been enjoying watching the waterfall outside the window and hearing the interactions of everyone as they come in on their breaks. The technician told me I have to be careful and not breast-feed any babies for a few hours after the scan is because of the radiation. I thought that was absolutely hilarious!  Here is the waterfall I’m sitting by.  Inside of course, as it’s only 25F outside.

I thought I would share the pictures of Mandy and Brad’s Christmas decorating with you. I asked her permission first. I think they do a beautiful job.
Living room:

Front of the house:

I love the airplane and runway.

Wreaths around all of the outside lights.

Bright white pillars.

We never decorated this much, but we did a lot more than I do now. I love Christmas lights.

I hope you’re all having a wonderful Monday, getting back into the routine of going to work. It was sure hard for Dennis and I to get up early this morning.

“For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.”  Psalm 100:5

Blessings,
Betsy

  3. Prayers that your test go well sweet friend. The decorations looks awesome. I guess they have to say that sort of thing about breast feeding babies to everyone, but that did make me smile, too. Hope you are feeling better today sweet friend. ((hugs)) Blessings always.

  4. I've taken my kids to get those types of tests before and it is a long wait. It's nice to have a project to make the time go by faster. I've always liked hospital food. I certainly had my share of it when I was taking care of Daddio. We were always in one hospital or another.
That is a beautiful room. I have always wanted a stone fireplace just like that but The Mister isn't seeing it my way.

  6. I hope the test will result in something to make your back pain go away! Good for you to take your knitting.. having crochet made many long hours in hospital waiting rooms tolerable when Dayle had different surgeries. You daughter and SIL did a fantastic job decorating their house inside and out. We've got a start on ours too. I'm doing my cards this weekend and today.. tomorrow too.

    ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  9. Good luck on your tests and that was funny about the breast feeding but nowadays you never know! There are grandmothers that have carried babies for their children that couldn't have them...who knew? Not me....I think adoption would be just fine! I love their decorations and what a lovely home they have. That waterfall is really pretty. Get your rest!
