Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you.  I am grateful for the gift of your friendship and caring.  Thank you for bringing me that friendship and joy through this strange world of blogland.  I never would have guessed that I would have heartfelt friends from all over the world that I have only known through a computer screen.  I AM blessed.

Our plans for Thanksgiving have changed today. One of the boys woke up very sick this morning, so we will not be going to Alicia and Jeremy‘s. Since we don’t have any food planned here at home, we may go to a local restaurant that’s been advertising Thanksgiving dinner. Not exactly the Thanksgiving we had planned,  but I’ll be with my love of my life and it will all be fine.

And now, a bit of humor for my friends in the USA today.

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” Psalm 100:4

Love and Blessings to you all,
Betsy

  1. Sorry you won't be able to join your little family for Thanksgiving. :-( But you have a good attitude and that's the important thing. I'm sure your dinner will be tasty! Dayle is in the kitchen stuffing the turkey as I type. I'll be doing all the side dishes. I'll be posting photos tomorrow.

  2. You have the right attitude, I hope your son is well quickly. That is a wonderful Psalm you quote, my women's Bible study is studying Psalms now. Happy Thanksgiving.

  3. So sorry your plans were derailed....once we had a snow storm and the people bringing the turkey couldn't make it so I defrosted hamburger and made it in the shape of a turkey with the little paper thinga around the legs too...too funny! The kids got over their disappointment as they were laughing too hard.
You'll have a great time with your 'one and only'. Happy Thanksgiving to you both!

  8. Hope your day went well...ah sorry to hear that your plans were cancelled though. We enjoyed being with our kids and grandkids today. It rained and blew awhile this afternoon. Glad we were inside. I saw that first one on facebook about pies being better than a salad. We actually had bacon brussel sprouts and a yam souffle as well. YUM! Watched a Christmas movie with Megan this evening. It was pretty good! Have a good weekend. No...I won't be out black Friday shopping. No outlet mall for me fur sure!!! :-} My girlfriend had to be there through midnite and hopefully all her workers showed up! Hugs and blessings!

  12. So sorry one of the boys got sick and you had to change your plans! Thanks for the smiles about pies, salad and chocolate :) My youngest son stopped by for a good visit, and my youngest daughter, her husband and our friend Grantie shared delicious food, put together puzzles and watched the old movie, "Friendly Persuasion" Among the things I am thankful for are you and your friendship, dear Betsy! Blessings on you, Dennis and yours. xxxxxx
