National Dog Day

Since today was national doggy day I wanted to share one of my favorite photos of Chloe with you.

She is the best dog ever. Since we moved here to the RV park last week, she has made several friends at the dog park. She looks forward to every evening when it cools down when we meet up with a few of her doggy friends. She can run and play with these much younger dogs like she used to do years ago. We know that she will most likely be our last dog and I love her dearly.  I am so happy that she’s enjoying her time here too.

Dennis made it home today. He drove about 1200 miles yesterday from Omaha to Big Timber, Montana. He finished the drive today. It is so good to have him home, but it was a very emotionally draining trip for him. Not only was it a hard trip driving and sleeping in the truck, but emotionally it was devastating. He was able to spend quite a lot of time with Karen and they were able to say their goodbyes.

Thank you for all of the prayers and good thoughts. We appreciate it more than you would ever know.

And now, I’m off to bed. It’s been a long day.

And finally, to add some humor to your day, I saw this today online but I don’t remember where. I think it was Facebook . If it’s your picture I’m sorry I didn’t give you credit.

Blessings,
Betsy

  2. Your sheep scale made me laugh. I am a 4 today I think or at least I should be. I've been up all night watching hurricane coverage like it was my business.

  7. Glad Dennis is safely home.

The photo of Chloe is so cute.

Because of our age, we have decided that when Giroux crosses the rainbow bridge, we will foster kittens. All the joy of having a pet, but if something happens to us they just go back to the adoption agency instead of Stephen having to find a pet a home.

  8. Thanks for letting us know Dennis is home safe. Poor guy, such a long drive and so much personal stress of knowing it might be the last visit. Such sadness. Give him a hug from us. I'm glad you have such a good dog, she's a doll. We are so glad we found our little Mocha, she has brought such joy to us both. Dayle had his followup from the cataract surgery and the doc was very pleased with it and Dayle now doesn't have to wear glasses and everything is brighter and more colorful! Take care my friend and make sure Dennis takes it easy. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  12. I am SO sorry to know of the pain Dennis is going through. I can't even imagine how hard that was and then to have to make that long drive home with such sadness. Dear Lord, help you all and comfort your grieving hearts. I am so thankful to know he is home safe with you and you all are getting settled in your new life. I believe God has wonderful things ahead for the two of you - obedience absolutely unlocks the blessings, and you all are following Him so closely. May He be especially near to you today.

Sorry he had to say goodbye to his sister but will be praying for him and his sister in this time in life. Chloe is a nice dog! Miss you, my friend! I am thinking of going to Idaho next year if the Young Living farms open again...closed due to pandemic. Need to use my air mileage by Aug 2021. Have a blessed weekend! Hugs!

  16. You have been so busy since I have had time to visit Betsy. Your new area looks wonderful to live in, the flowers and plants helps to make it lovely and of course your outside furniture looks very inviting. Glad Dennis was able to make the trip to see his sister and say good-bye, not easy for any of you. Stay safe and I can't forget Piper, she is always adorable and getting so grown up!

  18. Please tell Dennis how sorry I am. I'm sure that was the longest drive of his life. Sometimes I can't believe that I won't see Jim on this earth again and other times it still brings tears to my eyes and I think my heart will break. I think as we age it is just one loss after another. i will pray for all of you to ease your pain and sadness and to try an focus on the good memories.
That picture of Chloe looks just like my farm dog Abby! I'll see if I can find a picture and post it so you can see! I think they were related!
    Cute pictures of sheep!
