A Rose

Happy Wednesday!

I thought I would share with you a picture of a beautiful rose I cut from my rosebush last night. Dennis said it reminds him of the rose on Beauty and the Beast.

That’s it for today. I have gotten virtually no knitting or crocheting done for the last two days. I cleaned the camper top to bottom before I left yesterday, and we worked in the yard all evening. This morning I had two doctors appointments where I did knit on the leg of a sock. I hope you’re all having a lovely Wednesday.

My back is still doing fabulously! I want to thank you all so much for your prayers. They are working. Please keep them coming.

“Let us then approach God‘s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”  Hebrews 4:16

Blessings,
Betsy

  2. Did you see that idea on Pinterest where you can root new roses by sticking it in a potato? I don't know if it works but if i could get a great scented rose I would try it! Your's is gorgeous...I've never seen Beauty and the Beast so I have nothing to compare it to.
I am so happy to hear about your back! whatever you're doing...keep it up and we'll keep the prayers going too! I am so happy for you especially at the beginning of summer! You go girl!

  3. What a perfect verse! Thanks for sharing it. I am thanking the Lord your back is feeling so much better! I handed out about five Shell Burial Wrap patterns to prolific crocheting ladies this morning. If they make some, may I send them to you to pass along to the hospital? xxxx

  4. I'm with Vera and Sam.. I'm glad to hear your back is not hurting you.. just don't overdo it and strain it, my friend! Your rose is lovely! I'm sure enjoying mine that are in bloom. Mine are also highly scented. I'm glad to see the two little sheep I sent to you being loved and displayed by you. I just got home from swimming, so I'm beat. LOL! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  9. Hi dear Betsy so glad.
Continuing to pray.. my fav deep red fragrant roses are Oklahoma or Mr Lincoln. Both highly recommended as is Double Delight a bicolour hybrid tea. Yours is beautiful. I've 3 dozen bushes. 2 Oklahoma and 3 Mr Lincoln. Another good red is Firefighter a cross between Papa Milan and Mr Lincoln. Here in Oz it raises money for firefighters ... a great idea.

  14. Glad to hear the back is still going great.

I have such a dilemma ---cut the roses and bring them in OR enjoy them on the bush. Oh my ..........what to do. LOL (So far, I've left them on the bush, but a bud sure would look nice in my vase once they get going.)
