Flying Away!

Hello friends!  I'm writing on the run today, trying to get a lot accomplished.  I fly out tomorrow morning with a one way ticket to Omaha.  I'll be there as long as I'm needed by either Mom or Karen.  Today I'm cooking &freezing some meals for Hubby, grocery shopping, laundry and cleaning.  Just trying to make things as easy as possible for him while I'm gone.

I'm only taking one project with me, Jenny's lacy runner.  I wound all of the thread from the cardboard spools into balls to save luggage space.  I have 6 balls of thread left, each about as big as a tennis ball.    I hope it makes a nice size runner.
Here's where I am right now.  I think it's looking pretty, don't you?
Thank you for your sweet comments and prayers about my aching head.  The headache is mostly gone.  Now I'm just dealing with the sore and stuff neck from the whiplash.  That could stick around for awhile.  Karens's surgery is scheduled for Wednesday.  Our family would appreciate prayers for her.  The surgery itself is expected to be 8-10 hours.

I'll let you know how it goes.  My time online may be sporadic as I may just be working with my phone but I'll be thinking of each of you and reading your blogs as I can.

Blessings my friends,

Betsy

  9. Betsy, I have not been online for days, due to so much going on here. I am so sorry to hear about your head injury! Ouch! And also, about your sister in law having to have such a serious surgery. She is so young!! What a wonderful person you are to go and help her! The runner is lovely! Travel safely, and I will keep Karen in my prayers.

  10. I'm so sorry my dear friend I haven't been able to be online very much and just heard about your SIL. I saw your text that you had to fly Togo be with your family but didn't think it was such a serious surgery... Sorry to hear that. I hope you have a good trip and I will be praying for you and for her. Beautiful table runner... Not surprising as you are the "queen" of crochet :)
Hope your SIL recuperate fast. Praying for you both my dear friend.

  12. Oh how beautiful that purple is! The pattern is gorgeous too. How many of those squares do you have to make? I missed the post about you hitting your head. You poor thing! Sending prayers and positive thoughts to your sister. So nice that you will be there for her. It's comforting to have you there, I'm sure. Have a safe trip.

  13. Safe travels. Hope there will not be too many delays. I love your runner. I am sorry to not have been on blogger for a while and not knowing about your accident. I hope you are receiving Chiropractic care for your whiplash. It truly makes a difference.
Thanks for you love and concern for me even though I have not been posting to my blog. I don't put those feelings on FB because my grandsons are on there and I would never want them to feel any worse. Take care and prayers for you and your family. For healing for all of you.

  14. Betsy, bless your heart for traveling to help out. I wish you a safe journey, and I will keep you all in my prayers. Hope your head/neck feels better. Is the dizziness better? I think you should get a nice massage if you are able just to loosen those very tight and slightly panicked muscles.
    Hugs,
    Meredith
