Merry Christmas to us!

Just to top off the saga of the bank fun, Dennis and I both tested positive for Covid this morning. We both feel very icky, but at this point it’s just like a bad cold. Fevers, cough, nasal congestion, and exhaustion. We have had four vaccinations, so it must be a strain that has newly developed.

I’m sure glad I was done with all of my Christmas things before this happened. we are missing all of the fun things here at the apartment building and we had paid for a rather expensive light tour on Sunday night that I’m sure there’s no way we’ll be going to now. I shall be back when I can. Take care and treat yourself kindly.

Meanwhile, here are a few of the decorations that I put up last week.

Blessings and love,
Betsy

  6. Oh, no....I heard that the BQ strain is the one going around and the vaccines aren't up to par on protection against them-not even the new Bivalent one I just got. Another holiday season and we still have to worry about Covid. I can't believe it. I am so sorry it managed to find you. I hope you are up and over it by the holiday. I know how much it means to you. I've got my fingers crossed that all my exposure to Daughter and SIL this weekend didn't up end all my holiday plans. They do mask because of the baby but SIL just got off a plane from Florida last night after a week of maskless business meetings. Lovely.

  7. All your decorations are so pretty. I'm so very sorry you caught the nasty Covid bug. Hopefully the yucky feeling will not last long. DH and I felt sick for 2 days then it passed quickly. It might have been a different strain though. ( He was vaccinated and I was not yet we both got it and felt the same. Makes you wonder....)

  10. All your decorations look great! Glad you had a chance to put them up before you both got sick. Oh so sorry to hear you're sick. What a bummer for you both. Praying that you won't be too sick and will feel better fast! We have a Legion Christmas Party to attend tomorrow night...I'm hoping (praying) there won't be too many bugs floating around there. It's that time of the year! Merry Christmas and get well very soon! God Bless You Both.

  11. I am so sorry to hear that you have tested positive for Covid. I just learned that my brother and sister in law in NC also have it. I was very sick over Thanksgiving and for two weeks, but tested negative for Covid and positive for flu. Symptoms are very much the same. Please just rest and take care of yourselves, and if you aren't really feeling better soon, be sure to talk to Dr. about what you can take for it. Praying for you now. Your home looks lovely and festive. Just relax now and get well. God bless you dear friend.

  14. Sorry that both you and Dennis are not feeling well now but will soon. Pray 🙏 for you. Hopefully you can use YL essential oils in your diffuser as I use thieves, raven or r.c. and lemon in my diffusers when being sick. I like aroma of it. Your Christmas 🎄 decorations are beautiful. I need to get mine finished. More tomorrow as I'm going down to Albany to help clean my brother's apartment. Virtual hugs my friend. ❄️ ☃️ .
