Hello my friends! We're safely back in Spokane. I have tons and tons of photos to share, but once again Blogger is NOT cooperating. I think I'm giving up. I will try to keep up with all of your blogs but I really believe I'm done. I have spent 3 hours trying to write one blog post. I do have an Instagram account where I post photos and you are all very, very welcome to follow me there. You can find me at- queenbetsy2 - and I would love to see you there. I will pop in here now and again and see if Blogger will let me post pictures and I will definitely still be reading your blogs and commenting as long as I can.
We had a great trip with beautiful weather on the way to Omaha with autumn colors through the mountains. Coming home it was crazy snowing through Iowa and S. Dakota. The roads were slushy in Wyoming but once we crossed into Montana it was gorgeous. Here in Spokane it's in the 60's all week and I'm enjoying the beautiful blue skies.
The girls in my family, seven of us, went to a painting party last Thursday and all of us painted pictures that actually turned out beautifully. We had a fun time and made some good memories
Piper's birthday parties were fun too. There were seven little girls at her party Saturday morning and then the family all came Saturday evening. I counted 24 people at that one! It was fun to catch up with everyone. We spent time with Dennis' Mom and sister on several different occasions during the week.
We left at 5:45 Sunday morning and finally stopped in Billings, MT that evening after over 15 hours of driving through pretty nasty weather. Then we had an easy 8 hour drive on Sunday, getting home in time to wash the car and get a pizza to take home for dinner. My poor car hasn't been that dirty since we bought it. I have over 11,300 miles on it and I just got it in May! Two trips to Omaha with over 3500 miles round trip for each trip was most of those miles!
It's good to be home but I'm sure missing Mandy and Piper.
I sure wish I could share pictures with you all, but please, please pop over to Instagram to see all the pictures I've posted over the past couple of weeks.
Much love to you all and be assured I'll be visiting your blogs. Feel free to email me anytime at queenbetsy2@gmail.com. I promise to reply!
"Yours, LORD is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in Heaven and Earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. 1 Chronicles 29:11
Blessings,
Betsy
So sorry for your photo problem with Blogger, because I love to visit you through your blog!!! I am not very good at navigating Instagram but will head over there to try to visit you there. I am so glad you had a good and safe trip! I had a good trip to and from CA, too and will try to post soon. I love the verse you shared today...which goes along with a verse that impressed me in my reading today...Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good: His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. xxxx
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for you latest Blogger problems. That is one problem I have never had using Blogger. (Knock on Wood).... ha
ReplyDeleteHope you can figure it out soon... There's got to be a reason this keeps happening.... So sorry.
I know you had a marvelous time... Family is SO important....
Glad you made it home safe and sound.
Hugs,
Betsy
Gadzooks.. I'm sorry you're having blogger problems with photos. I have no problem with it and I use my MacBook Pro computer and it's a snap. I really don't do IG.. but will try to remember to look. I find it so disjointed. I much prefer to read a nice blog post - I wouldn't give up on your blog as you still write a very good one. Maybe you can get your son to come and visit and figure it out, or a internet savvy friend from church? Keep trying! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't do instagram...I think you have to have a new phone for that one and my phone is on the wall:)
ReplyDeleteDon't give up on blogger...There are other programs to use...I use Blog Touch Pro on my Ipad and Open Live Writer instead of blogger on my desktop. I hate the blogger software for writing a blog:( Glad you are home safe and sound:)
Oh, I'm so sorry to know that you may stop blogging! It makes me incredibly sad to think of not being able to visit you here. I surely do understand the frustrations, though, and I have thought of quitting many times, too. I'm not on Instagram, so I won't be able to follow you there, but maybe we can keep in touch via email? I am so thankful you are back home safe and you had such a wonderful time with your dear family. I am sure you must miss them terribly! I hope the trip wasn't too hard on your back and you are feeling well. God bless you always, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame you’re having such difficulties, I enjoy your blog very much, it’s one of my favourites. I shall search for you on instagram. It sounds like you had a great trip although that is a long way to drive. I hope your back is feeling ok.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy. Oh dear I agree with everyone re issues with blogger. I find using chrome on my phone works just fine as I said. I downloaded an app that reduces my photos so I can upload them. Your photos are probably too big. That’s why blogger won’t load them. They’ve size restrictions. Esp new phones take huge size images. A way around it is to go into your phone settings and change the size before you take it. I do that too. My phone takes 16 MB photos. Totally ridiculous unless making poster prints. If you want to upload a photo to test change it to VGA size on phone click the photo and try to upload it in blogger logged in via Chrome web browser .
ReplyDeleteThat’s prob pretty high tech sounding but it isn’t really if you’ve someone on hand to help. Wish I could pop on.
I’m technically on instagram (gumnut66) but hardly ever use it or go on there. I’m like others who say it’s impersonal amd disjointed .. don’t get same feel as a good old blog post. If can remember my sign in details I’ll try to log n amd find you..
Lord bless dear Betsy. My heart is aching for my sister in Lord and her family in Florida Panhandle ... all are suffering so would appreciate prayers.
Hugs Shaz. Xxx
So glad you had such a wonderful trip except for the tense driving through weather. I wrote down your IG and email. If I had a cell phone I would post to IG but as it is I can only look and comment. I think it is faster and easier than blogging. Your trip sounded so great and I can't wait to see the pictures! I'll be over on IG sometime. The weather here is perfect for working outside so I am taking advantage of it. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI must admit to been a little disappointed that you won't be blogging, but you must do what is right for you. I am not good with IG but would love it if we kept in touch. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a great time! I am sorry to hear about your blogging troubles. It does eat up a lot of time that could be better used elsewhere. I will miss you.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got home safely and that you had a safe trip. Have you tried getting help on the Blogger Forumn? They are very helpful.
ReplyDeleteSo fun to go visit family. You were in my neck of the woods. I hav a daughter in Spokane.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy, I am glad you had a wonderful and safe trip. How was your back during the trip? I know you must miss family from there so much. 15 hours in a car would do me in for sure! I am sorry you won't be posting anymore but blogger gave me a hard time and I took a break also. Keep in touch! Nancy
ReplyDeleteSorry but I'm not on Instagram . But am on facebook at times. Don't give up blogging or well just have to text each otherš
