Monday, Monday

Cough, cough.

Yes it’s me. I’m still coughing. Alex’s flight arrives around noon today and Mandy and Piper are flying in tonight. How can it be that I haven’t been sick in several years and the week my children come home, I’m still sick? I am beyond frustrated with this stuff. I thought I would share with you the things I’ve been working on while I’ve been sitting here coughing and blowing my nose. I don’t know how much I’ll be online this week so please forgive me if I disappear for a short time.

I finished another square for my cozy memories sock yarn quilt.

I also finished a corner to corner baby blanket using a Caron cake. I don’t remember the color way though.
Another baby blanket using Lucy from Attic’s 24 shell stitch.  Neither of these blankets have been washed yet so they look a bit wonky. The purple and white one is 40 x 36“. Pretty big!

A close-up of the cute little shells. I did enjoy making this blanket end it was a fairly quick crochet since I just started it on Friday and finished it yesterday.

Last night I began a new pair of socks. All I have done so far is about four rows on each cuff, but at least they’re on the needles!

I also started another “Which Way Filet” baby blanket last night using another Caron cake.

We’ve had some very frosty days this past week. These trees never lost their layer of frost in over 48 hours. Pretty, but cold.

On this first one you can see the red berries covered by frost. The birds feast on these berries all winter long.

Brrrrr.

And finally, I received a sweet little package in the mail.  It was from a dear blogging friend. I don’t know if she wants me to say who it is, so she will remain nameless for now. But isn’t this just the cutest thing?  I adore sheep. Thank you my friend. I love her.  Her fleece looks much like my hair looks most mornings!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving week and that you take the time to count each and every blessing. I certainly consider each of you a blessing to me.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”  First Chronicles 16:34

Blessings,
Betsy

  9. Oh, my goodness! I had to laugh out loud when you said that about your hair! LOL! That was so funny. :) I am SO sorry to hear you are still so sick, sweet friend. OH, I do hope you receive a healing touch from the Lord before your children all arrive. I know you will enjoy it regardless, but hope you can feel better. That purple and white blanket is just gorgeous! Do you mind sharing the brand and color of the yarn and also the pattern? I know it is shells...I am just not sure how to do it. If you don't feel like it, I surely understand. May God bless you with a wonderful, happy, blessed Thanksgiving with your dear family!
