Forgotten?

I haven’t forgotten any of you, although I haven’t posted on anyone’s blogs for a few days. We were in the ER with mom all day Friday and then she spent the night in the hospital Friday night. I had to stay there with her because she wouldn’t let anyone touch her without me there. Then, yesterday after church, we stopped to get lunch and last night in the late evening Dennis got really sick and in the middle of the night I got very sick with nausea and vomiting and other fun bathroom events. Fun times huh!? I also have a fever over 102 so we’re not sure if it’s food poisoning or influenza. Dennis is absolutely fine now. It only lasted a few hours for him. I’ll be back when I can think straight again.!

Take care everyone
Blessings and
Betsy

  1. Oh no! Sounds like either food poisoning or that Norovirus. It will act like that too. Nasty stuff. Praying you are better very soon. So sorry that your MIL was not well either. I hope she is doing better now? I know how hard these kinds of things are. I hope you didn't get a bug by being in the ER area...germs do fly through the air with the greatest of ease! They don't even need a trapeze, but maybe a sneeze! (Oh dear, I am waxing poetic tonight!). Praying for you now. Please take care of yourself and get some rest. Sending (((hugs))) and prayers.

    1. Most likely norovirus.
Horrible infection and very rampant this year.

  4. OH no, I am so sorry. I am sorry Dennis was so sick and so sorry you are sick now too. Those tummy issues are no fun and so exhausting. Praying hard you have the short bout with it, too.
I'm sorry about mom. It's hard when they get ill and go to an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people. And so hard on the caregivers, too. I hope she is doing better.

  5. Amen! God has been very good to me, I don't see how I could have gotten through the last 5 years without Him. I am always amazed by His mercy and grace and the fact that the God who created the universes and every thing in it still takes personal time for each and everyone that calls on His name. Sometimes I count my blessing until tears of joy fill up my eyes. We serve an amazing God!!!

  11. Oiy, oh what fun - not. Many prayers for Mom, you and Dennis (even though he feels better, he is probably helping you). Seems this year has been rough all the way around for everyone. Hopefully, your bout of bathroom fun ends quickly, and that whatever is going on with Mom is (or has been) taken care of for her! Thinking of you all! Hugs!

  19. Oh, my....you sure have been having a time of it. I remember all too well those ER visits with dad. I can't count all the nights I spent sitting in a chair next to his bed. Thank goodness for knitting. I never left the house without it.
