I’ve had this pile of yarn in my lap all week. All I have left to knit are the pockets. I’m looking forward to the finish, which should be today.
This is where this little girl stayed for two hours yesterday when Dennis went to do his Moms laundry. She’s so pitiful when one of us is gone.
I still have something going on in my head! Icky stuff is still spewing forth from my nose and now a cough has been added, so I’m staying in the apartment and away from people. Covid test is negative. I think it’s a plain old sinus infection or head cold from the airplane. If it’s still around next week Dennis says I’ll be calling the doctor.
And now, I’m going to snuggle into my knitting chair in front of the fire, have a cup of tea and watch the snow fall. No school for Miss Piper as it’s conferences this week so she gets to stay home and warm too.
Blessings and love.
Betsy
Hello! I'm new here...Love the sweater!

Aww - what a sad little puppers! Dave and I get quite the scolding from Lemmy if we go out for any amount of time.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon
The snow is lovely especially since you don't have to do anything with it. It sounds like you will be having a very cozy day! I hope your sinuses heal up. The sweater is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI knew it! I was watching the Weather Channel this morning and I said to The Mister..."that's where Betsy lives. Look at all that snow!". We are sitting here in 60 degree weather and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. I told him I couldn't wait to see your blog post photo and you didn't disappoint. Stay warm and feel better!
ReplyDeleteStay warm and feel better Betsy!!
ReplyDeleteThe cold is a perfect way to get you to have some down time--and with knitting, too! Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteLove that sweater! What yarn are you using? It's a fun color. Hope your snow doesn't stick around too long! Feel better real soon!
ReplyDeleteSitting and watching the snow fall while having a cuppa sounds lovely. Your sweater is going to be finished today? Wow. That's great. Now if only you could shake the germs that seem to be making you feel unwell. I hope that happens soon. GM

ReplyDeleteWhat lovely yarn! My husband gassed up the snow blower in November and hasn't had to use it yet. It was almost 70 yesterday (in Northern Ohio!) but in the 40/50's today with a cold rain. I had a surprise when I went for a checkup today. I mentioned it feels like my ears are full of cotton. We think I developed fluid in the ear tubes with my sinus infection at Thanksgiving (I hate going to the doctor). We are trying medication and if that doesn't work, I have to get ear tubes like a 5 year old! I hope your cold vanishes quickly with no side effects! The photo of the puppy dog is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say hi and that I've missed you! I haven't been online much at all for a while. We had nothing but flurries today, and I'm not sad about that lol. They'd predicted 2-4 inches, but well, pfffft. I want to write more, but am not well right now... am going to bed. Lova ya, my friend! Prayers and blessings!
ReplyDeleteThe snow in your picture looks so pretty. I can just picture you sitting in front of the fire cozy and knitting away. What you're knitting, is it a sweater? looks beautiful. And your poor pup just laying in front of the door....what did she do when you were gone for four weeks? Hope you get over your cold/sinus issues soon. I have dealing with that same thing...had a bad cold 3 weeks ago, finally got over that, but still have a slight cough and taking Flonase...it seems to be helping. Take good care you two. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and cozy and take care dear, may you heal quickly! And our little dog does the same thing. They sure want both of us home all the time. I will tell her I am going to the store whenever I leave and she just gets so sad. Those puppy eyes...
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you were able to go see your family and enjoy the little one!
Every time I fly I get sick! Hugs, Roxy
Love that yarn!!!
You should probably see a Doctor this week. Wow that is some pretty snow, I bet yours will be gone before ours! Stay warm and I hope you get your knitting project done.
ReplyDeleteHello, my friend. Stay cozy and feel better. We had something here this week, and I spent my time blowing my nose and sleeping! Take a moment and gaze at the snow for me, please. Here in Pennsylvania we have had unseasonably warm weather. No snow! Have a cozy weekend.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, you feel better today. Continue to rest and sip hot tea and even sneak in a nap, if you can.
ReplyDeleteHa! If I ever move from my house I won't miss the shoveling and snow blowing either. I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your posts from away. I especially love food posts for some reason. Sometimes they give me ideas on what to cook. Meanwhile, lovely knitting and little Zoey is so adorable. We become their people that's for sure. Snow shoveling here this morning too in my corner of Ontario, Canada. Take care, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made it home safely sweet friend! I do hope your icky cold passes on quickly. It has gone around here, and some have been told it is the adult version of RSV, not the c virus. However, it makes tons of mucus so taking Mucinex during the day, Nyquil at night, and nebulizer treatments if you have access to that helps. (My nurse friend at the nursing home told me this is how they treat residents there with it). It can take a long time to completely go away, with tons of mucus. I hope you do feel better very quickly though! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWe had a bit of snow ❄️ Feb 14 but started to melt away late morning. I did take a few pictures of it to remember my snowy birthday. It's better than my icy birthday in 2021. Your sweater looks great. I like the colors. I hope you feel better soon. You're in my thoughts and prayers 🙏 ❤️ 🌷 God bless. ~Becky
ReplyDeleteAmen. Love the snow. Feel better. Regine

I hope you feel better soon. The yarn is very pretty. I feel like making a poncho. I found a new YouTube channel called The Poncho Lady. She's a fun lady and makes the most beautiful ponchos. I was going to take a picture of our snow but this first round is nearly melted but the next is due tonight.
ReplyDeleteI love the yarn you've chosen for your project, very pretty. Hope you feel better soon. The snow is beautiful, we sure don't have it here. I've yet to decide if that's good or bad. It sure is pretty but I don't know how I would like getting around in it. Dogs are so loyal, they love deeply.
