It seems almost silly to talk about advent gifts but here you are anyway. A snowman ready to make s’mores and some candy. This candy is really good. I don’t remember where I got the snowman. I think it was Hobby Lobby a few years ago.
Piper and Lizzie love the snow. Mandy sent this to me about an hour ago. Lizzie runs and runs through the snow. Zoey seems to like it too but can’t run freely because our neighbors fences aren’t secure and we don’t have gates. It was their first experience with snow and they weren’t sure what to make of it.
Our own snow Angel! It will be gone this afternoon because it’s supposed to be in the upper 40’s. By Wednesday it’s predicted to be 72F. It’s crazy!
Here is another ornament that we bought under the Banyan tree on Maui on a different trip than the one I showed the other day. This was also made as a fundraiser by the local school children.
Tonight we’re going to Curt and Barbs for dinner. But first we need to go to the pet store and get “little” Zoey a new crate. She has completely outgrown the small one we have. I think she’s going to be closer to 10 lbs when grown instead of the 6 or so we were told. She’s only in the crate when we’re gone or we can’t take her with us. Usually that’s just church on Sundays because we take her a lot of places to make sure she’s socialized and gets along with people and other dogs too. And, of, course Dennis is home working all week too.
How about all of you? Do you have big plans for the day? I ripped the heel out of the second sock just before bed last night, so I have a heel to turn again. The stripe colors didn’t match the first sock as close as I wanted it to so I just frogged it. Lord willing, I’ll see you tomorrow.
Blessings,
Blessings,
Betsy
The devastation from the tornadoes is heart-wrenching. The weather sure is all over the place. 72 degrees by the middle of next week!!! Take care, GM
ReplyDeleteLoved the pics of Piper and her pooch! Glad you are safe; praying for families in the wake of those storms.
ReplyDeleteMy heart is so broken for all those impacted by the tornados. So many prayers to them. We were in the 60's this morning and took the grandkids to a nearby village transformed to Whoville. The rain and winds started on the way home, followed by really high winds and hail. Now we are in the 20's.
ReplyDeleteThe tornado damage is just awful. So sad for so many people. Piper and Lizzie are so cute together in the snow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute picture of Piper and her pup!
ReplyDeletePiper and Lizzie were cute in the snow! Adorable photos! We had a good time at the Christmas The Chosen movie this afternoon. We ate dinner afterwards then came home. It wasn't raining like it was when Megan and I were headed to Wilsonville. Phil met us at the theatre as he had to work today! Wind had calmed down late a.m. thankfully but it was cold when we left from home. Hope to get tree put up tomorrow!Sad to read about the tornadoes that hit in specific areas. Praying people survive and helpful peolpe help those in need! Have a good, blessed weekend!

SNOW!!!! It was so hot here yesterday I thought I would die. This weather is crazy. Yesterday was Daughter's shower and I spent the night so I wouldn't have to drive home in the dark and I swear the wind almost tore her new house to pieces. I've never heard wind like that but come morning we inspected everything and there was no damage. Just an awful lot of noise. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote at the end. God is bigger than all our fears and any mountain we can or cannot see, as the old song says. May He bless you, sweet friend.
