Home Again
Good Thursday morning to all of my friends! After a looooong drive home yesterday I finally arrived about 4:30 in the afternoon. I was starting to become concerned because as soon as I entered Washington the temperature dropped into the low to middle 3o's and it was raining very hard. That stayed with me all the way to Spokane, but didn't turn to snow or freezing rain for which I'm very thankful. It did slow the drive a bit but, in the end, I arrived safe and sound. Hubby was caught in a meeting at work and didn't leave until almost an hour later than usual so it gave me a chance to unpack the car and begin to make some sense of my life again. He took me out to The Olive Garden restaurant for dinner which was a real treat. I even have leftovers to enjoy for my lunch today. It seems so strange to be home again after four and a half weeks away. This morning I have been busy taking my car to get it's snow tires put on, (yes, it's just a matter of time before the nasty stuff falls). I then refilled our prescription medicines and came home to start some laundry. Hubby cleaned the house for me before I got home, what a wonderful man I have! Now I'm on the computer ordering photos for Great Grandma Queen and Uncle Alex. I have so much to do that I'm a bit overwhelmed. After spending the last month cuddling Miss Piper, I'm lost without her! Sad aren't I?
With no further ado, here are some pictures of the precious girl.
I'll treat you with a few more next time! I haven't photographed anything else since she was born except the picture of Gracie and Teresa in the previous post. Little Piper has captured Grandma's heart. Did any of you notice the pink blanket she's wrapped in? It says "I Love Grandma". Guess who made it for her? Well, of course I did! Her Mama has sent me several texts already this morning and apparently they're missing me too. So guess what? Grandpa says we're making the drive to see her again next weekend!!!! He's as bad as I am and says since I've seen her so much it's only fair that we go again so he can monopolize her time.
Thank you for all being so patient with me for the past month when my internet was sporadic. Although my life isn't all that interesting I'll try to be better about posting now that I'm home again.
I hope you all have a wonderfully blessed day and I'll be back soon.
Blessings,
Betsy

Glad you are back although I know you are missing that little bundle of love. I'm also glad you had a safe trip with all the cold weather and rain. Piper is adorable, such a sweet little bright eyed girl. Thanks for letting us enjoy her through your photos.
