Montana!

Good Monday Morning to you my friends. It will be a short post today and I'll try to get back later with some finished object pictures. Hubby and I were supposed to leave for Helena, MT Friday afternoon but a winter storm warning was posted, said storm swept in and we waited until Saturday morning. The wait didn't make the trip much better though. It was still a winter storm warning when we left and we drove through horrendous conditions. All of this was to see our precious grandbabies for just one day and take them their Christmas presents. The normal 4 1/2 hour drive took about 6 hours. Then, yesterday the drive home was forecasts to be with sunny skies. HA!!!!!! Snow, sleet, freezing rain. Accidents galore. It took 7 hours to get home yesterday. We dropped Chloe off at home and went to the Olive Garden for dinner and washed the digusting mess that was my car. Icky! My pale blue CRV was literally black from the road goo. This morning I woke up to the driveway socked in with more snow and ice. So, the first picture is of our son. He had the message/sermon time in church yesterday which was an added bonus to our trip. He has grown into a wonderful man of the Lord and we're very pleased. The sermon was wonderful, based on a book about being a fan or a follower of Jesus? Big difference. Huge difference. He also lead the song service and we felt very blessed to be there. The other pictures were of some of the snow on our drive Saturday. I was trying to get a good picture of the Clark Fork river for you, but I'm afraid I failed. I need to start some homemade chicken and noodles for a new mom at church. It's my night to take dinner. I'm making the chicken and noodles, baking soda biscuits, green beans from my garden and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Hopefully I can slip-slide my way to her house this afternoon! I'm sorry this is short. Lots to do and little time! I'll try to post some knitting/crochet pictures later tonight or tomorrow. Blessings, Betsy

  1. So glad you are safe, Betsy! The snow is so beautiful for me to look at, but I remember how dangerous it can be to navigate through. I am glad you were able to have good fellowship with your son on such a special day with the bonus of time with your grands:) Your chicken noodle soup sounds wonderful! I am busy crocheting stars! xx from Gracie
